You Can Never Have Too Many Shoes

Um...unless you have to carry them around all day.

Walking shoes, work shoes and running shoes. I'm starting to think I have a problem.

Walking shoes, work shoes and running shoes. I'm starting to think I have a problem.

I made the decision to walk-commute to work today which required me to wear my New Balance walking shoes. I hate wearing my running shoes to walk because a) it uses up some of the precious miles in them; b) it wears on them differently than running, making it harder to look at the patterns and get an idea for what I am doing wrong/right (mostly wrong). Which is why I have walking shoes.

On a normal day, I would have just shoved my ballet flats in a bag and switched in my office. Today is not that day. I have a run at work planned for late afternoon, which necessitated bringing in my running shoes as well. FINE! My bag looked huge and awkward, especially once filled with 2 pairs of athletic shoes.

Sadly, I also had to carry it around a bunch because my morning stuff was all at a different location than my actual office and I refused to invest the time to go by my office (30 minutes round trip) just to drop them off. Guess that means I'm stuck with them today.

At least on the way home I'll be back in my biggest pair, making the bag slightly less awkward.

Do you have too many shoes in your office? I should also confess that I keep a pair of heels in my office for emergencies (fancy meetings, shoe disasters, earthquakes).
