I'm always looking for opportunities to try out new things that might help give me more energy, make me feel better and generally improve my health. When Katie at Running 4 Cupcakes emailed me about doing an AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge, I jumped at the opportunity.
Unlike some of the other cleanse programs I've looked at, this one calls for you to keep eating--but be more thoughtful about it. In addition to the products that are part of the challenge, I still get to eat meals, just much cleaner ones. Giving up my coffee and dairy products is going to be a little difficult, but I've started putting things in my fridge that will be good substitutes for those (almond milk instead of my usual, for example). I think it will be a nice change and has great timing.
The challenge officially starts on Monday, so I've got the weekend to get myself put together. I've pulled out most of the products and am reading through the directions (why yes, I do like to be OVER prepared).
There are two phases to the program (cleanse and max phase), but they are split up into 4 categories based on the products and eating patterns. My plan is to check in at each stage (no less than once a week) with my thoughts on the products, my progress and overall feeling toward the program.
